1st Place Champions!!!! End of Spring Fling! April 18th & 19th 2009

Then came Sunday!!!!! Words cant express the way I feel about a team and family coming together to get it done!!!!!! Bats were on fire, defense was very strong, pitching was outstanding, teamwork and leadership were shining bright...... I have never seen such a complete transformation from one day to the next day at such a high and accelerated level!!! We played the best teams out there on Sunday (Steelers 96, Blazers 96, Rock it 96) these are great and respected teams in the softball world very talented and very well coached. We showed them on Sunday what Fusion teams can do when they focus and rise to the occasion! Team after team we sent home on Sunday, a couple of them we beat soundly. We also had the games where we were down 4-0 and came back and won 8-4. Or the game where we were down 2-0 in the last inning with 2 outs, to come back and win 3-2.
An email cant describe the teamwork, the family and the support we showed each other through the day on Sunday , Ill stop there and just say that IM VERY PROUD OF YOU ALL !!!!!!!!!!!

Fusion Family nice work........ Girls we are so proud of you!!!!!!!

1st Place Champions in the Gold Bracket against some of the best competition we have seen in a long time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

12U Take Second place @ Midnight in Brunswick!

A very long day for the girls, but they learned a lot, had fun & kept positive attitudes throughout the day. I think the 6th game ended with Annie getting tagged out in a pickle between third & home. I think we were all thrilled with the out so we could get home. The 6th game ended at midnight I believe.

These are a few pictures showing the volunteer effort we had this past weekend and also opening day at the Creek. I did not get everyone but I will next time. Our fields looked great... the concessions were running smoothly... well stocked ...no long lines... The burgers were in great demand after our game on Sunday.. There was a little bit of a wait, obviously because they were so delicious and people were having burgers for breakfast. I heard more than one person say "It was well worth the wait". I saw everyone helping everywhere.. Moms, Dads, our girls, even sisters and brothers!! I was quite impressed with those on potty duty and helped keep our restrooms clean.! Thank you .. Thank you... Thank you!!!!
